Second District Transitions Back to Portal
The Portal is back for District Court of Appeal Filings! The Clerks first made the announcement in the Florida Bar News that all DCAs will be transitioning back to the Portal by January, with the Second and First Districts making the switch this month.
Now, the Second District has announced the transition will be this week on December 14:
As of Dec. 14, 2018, all electronic filings to the Second DCA must be submitted via the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal, https://myflcourtaccess.com. The transition from eDCA filing will occur after normal business hours on Dec. 13. We apologize if there is a temporary interruption in service.
This change will allow electronic service when filing and submission of multiple documents at a time. Electronic payments will continue to be accepted. eDCA will remain as the Second DCA’s method for electronic service of outgoing filings; it will also continue to provide electronic case access.
If your case has concluded, you do not need to do anything. For those with pending cases, you will need to register with the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal if you do not have an account already. The Portal service desk can be contacted at support@myflcourtaccess.com.
Please call the Second DCA Clerk’s Office at (863)940-6060 if you have questions or need assistance.
Mary Beth Kuenzel, Clerk
Second District Court of Appeal
The great news: The portal will handle service in accordance with the Rules of Judicial Administration. But be sure to be ready!
