August 1 Revisions to the Eleventh Circuit’s IOPs

The Eleventh Circuit has made some minor tweeks to its Internal Operating Procedures (.pdf) (IOPs). If the mandate is going to be held due to a judge requesting a poll, the court will let the parties know via PACER. If you keep a paper copy of these rules, be sure to save a tree and only print the few pages that need replacing.

Last month, the Eleventh Circuit explained what it expected attorneys to include in expanded record excerpts. This month, the Court has provided additional guidance [.pdf], providing a summary judgment checklist and a sample of the form the Court expects attorneys to follow for the Index of Expanded Record Excerpts and Table of Record Excerpts.
